UTMB pace chart

What runners who actually finished in your target time came through each checkpoint. Not a model and not advice — the real cumulative splits of 6,972 finishers in our archive.

CheckpointMedian split Middle half ranthey finished
How to read the spread. The middle-half column is where half of these finishers actually were — a quarter came through earlier, a quarter later. A wide spread means runners who ended up in the same finish time got there very differently, so treat the median as one path through the race rather than the path. The last column is a different population from the rest of the row: the pace band is drawn from FINISHERS only, while the finish rate counts everyone we have a record of arriving in that window, including the ones who stopped. It is what happened to them, not a prediction about you.
