What This Service Is

UltraRunTrack is a free, independent fan project that displays live race timing and estimated runner positions for select ultramarathons. It is built and operated by Forge Built AI and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any race organiser, race partner, or official timing service.

How Positions Work

Most elite ultramarathons do not provide continuous GPS data. Official timing data comes only from checkpoints that are sometimes 17 to 42 miles apart. Between those checkpoints, UltraRunTrack estimates runner positions using historical pace data for that course section and each runner's recent form.

These estimates are educated guesses. They are not precise. When multiple runners occupy an estimated position, we draw them as a single pack marker rather than inventing separation that we cannot verify.

What These Estimates Are Not Reliable For

Do not use estimated positions to make decisions about crew logistics, medical support, runner safety, pacing strategies, or wagers. The mean error is around 1 mile between checkpoints. Real decisions depend on official timing data from race control or direct communication with the race organiser.

Official Results

Official race results, finishing times, and final placements come only from the race organiser and their official timing partner. For Badwater 135, that is AdventureCORPS and their partner. If you need results you can rely on, go directly to the race website.

Data Ownership

Timing data, race names, course descriptions, and results are the property of the race organiser and the race's official timing partner. UltraRunTrack is an independent display layer on that data and does not claim ownership of any race information.

Acceptable Use

• You may view and share race data displayed on this site for personal, non-commercial use.
• Do not scrape the site aggressively or run automated queries that strain our servers.
• Do not republish the data or the visual display as your own work without attribution to UltraRunTrack and Forge Built AI.
• Do not use the site in ways that interfere with its operation or other users' access to it.

As-Is Service, No Guarantees

This service is provided free and as-is. We make no warranty about its accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. Estimates may be wrong. The site may be slow, may display stale data, or may be offline. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on what you see here.

Changes and Withdrawal

We may change or discontinue this service, change how it works, or stop tracking races at any time, with or without notice. Your access is not guaranteed.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any loss, injury, cost, or damage that results from your use of this site or reliance on the data displayed here. This includes but is not limited to harm from inaccurate position estimates, crew logistics errors, medical decisions, or any other consequence of using this service.
